Hi, my name is Karl Williams, owner and head coach of CrossFit Pioneer, and I want to introduce you to Sophia.

Now just three years of age, she was born with Campomelic Dysplasia and is nothing short of a miracle. Despite having a rare life-limiting condition that requires 24/7 life-support, she exemplifies strength and what it means to be alive!

She lights up the gym when she arrives, exudes happiness but the truth is, her condition is complex.

Sophia has no voice due to a tracheostomy (though still makes herself heard), can't walk, and daily defies what doctors thought possible.

Sophia faces challenges most of us can't comprehend, and for the family to support their daughters' everyday needs, require an environment fit for purpose. To do so, they hope to embark on a home renovation. At present, it is extremely difficult and unsafe to carry both Sophia and her life-support equipment up and down the stairs.

We want to raise what we can to make that that possible.


What IS CrossFIT?

CROSSFIT IS DEFINED AS ‘CONSTANTLY VARIED, FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENTS PERFORMED AT HIGH INTENSITY’. many things done in and out of gyms can BE GIMMICKY OR NOT TRANSLATE TO A STRONGER LIFE OUTSIDE THE GYM. training functional movements will enhance your ability to carry out everyday activities more efficiently and effectively.
