THE THING BEHIND THE THING
why not just stick to fitness?
great question. the truth is, whilst getting in to the best physical shape and fitness we can is so important, we also understand that there is something of much more value at stake.
2 Corinthians 5 tells us that the bodies we have are temporary and won’t last forever. No matter how well we shape or look after them. THE GOOD NEWS BEING WE HAVE A NEW ONE TO LOOK FORWARD TO, CRAFTED BY OUR CREATOR, THAT WILL NOT WASTE AWAY BUT LAST FOREVER.
IF THIS IS TRUE, IT CAUSES A RETHINK IN WHAT WE PRIORITISE AS IMPORTANT, WHAT WE SEE AND VALUE NOW… OR WHAT WE HOPE FOR IN THE FUTURE. ON THIS BELIEF, AND IN THE DESIRE TO WANT TO SEE PEOPLE HAVE TRUE LONGEVITY IN THEIR LIVES, I WILL ALWAYS POINT PEOPLE TO JESUS CHRIST. I BELIEVE HE KNOWS BEST, HE’S RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING, AND I PUT MY WHOLE TRUST IN HIM.
2 CORINTHIANS 5 V 20 REMINDS ME THAT I AM AN AMBASSADOR OF CHRIST (A REPRESENTATIVE) SO I HAVE A ROLE TO REFLECT HIM TO THOSE AROUND ME. I WILL DO THIS UNASHAMEDLY AS I HAVE NEVER BEEN THE SAME SINCE HE SAVED ME BY GRACE. I WAS A MESS AND BROKEN IN MANY WAYS. I CAN NOT EVER FORGET WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR ME.
NO MATTER WHAT I BENCH, HOW FAST I RUN, OR HOW WELL I CONDITION MY BODY, HE IS MY STRENGTH.
1 TIMOTHY 4 V 8 SAYS “for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.”
FITNESS WILL ENHANCE YOUR LIFE… BUT IT WON’T SAVE IT. I WANT TO SEE PEOPLE TRAIN TO GET THE MOST OUT OF LIFE NOW AND TO ENJOY WHAT IS TO COME THAT IS MUCH MUCH BETTER.
THAT IS WHY PIONEER TRAINING EXISTS.

SO WHILST FAITH IS WHAT WE HOLD AND SHAPES HOW WE LIVE, IT IS ALSO AN INVITATION. IT’S WHY WE KEEP OUR ‘STRENGTHENING FAITH’ EVENTS SEPARATE SO YOU CAN STEP IN BY CHOICE.

SO WHAT ABOUT THE LOGO?
IT’S MORE THAN A BRAND OR GENERIC LOGO. IT REPRESENTS SOMETHING. IT TELLS A STORY.
WHEN I WEAR IT OR PUT IT ON ANYTHING, I AM REMINDED OF HOW GOD FOUND ME, NAVIGATED LIFE WITH ME AND IS WITH ME WHATEVER LIES AHEAD.
MY HOPE IS THAT IT INSPIRES, CHALLENGES, REMINDS AND CALLS US TO A LIFE OF MEANING, PURPOSE AND LEGACY.
COMPASS
This is about direction. In a confusing world, where the landscape seems to constantly shift and change, we need a true North to offer us clarity and clear vision on the way to go so no matter where we end up, we are not lost.
As ‘Pioneers’ we journey with and guide people towards this path.
We believe Jesus Christ is THE way, the truth and offers the life worth following.
“I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10
TREES
These represent obstacles. On any journey , foliage can block our view of ‘the way’ and slow us down or make us feel it is entirely impossible to get to or settle somewhere. Whether from ourselves, the world or our enemy, foliage of all sorts exist in our lives and we believe everyone faces these challenges on many levels.
Pioneers see beyond this, as we take new ground, clearing the way through the strength of Christ, so we can lead and point the way for others to follow and show it is possible.
“…I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” Isaiah 43v19
“Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.” Philippians 3v17
THE LOGO IS A REMINDER THAT THOUGH LIFE IT’S PEAKS & VALLEYS…GOD IS CONSTANT & FAITHFUL.
MOUNTAINS
Life has peaks and valleys. It’s constantly varied and both are realities. They both have a lot to teach us. If land were flat and desolate, it can leave you without landmarks to guide you, gauge distance or progress whilst also leaving you exposed to the elements.
And just like physical growth and gains won’t happen without challenge and intensity, so it is in life, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Valleys can be difficult, perspectives can be skewed and the thought of conquering mountains can seem so far off. But this is where most vegetation inhabits and growth is plentiful if we choose to see it.
Mountain tops however, whilst providing great views and a sense of accomplishment and achievement, to remain and isolate there offers little growth, no sustenance and a barren existence. We must embrace the perspective and learning of both as we navigate the terrain of life and what it prepares us for.
“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me” Psalm 23:4
“For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.” Psalm 95:1-5
TAKE NEW GROUND
A phrase I love because it can mean so much to so many in different ways. I’m passionate about seeing those who think they can’t, those who doubt, the fearful and the forgotten get their chance to strengthen and take ground they never thought possible.
From a faith perspective, I believe that there is so much hurt and brokenness in the world, and it is ground that needs taken and restored and lives to be lifted and built up.
To see Gods Kingdom come.
Luke 17:20-21
God’s Kingdom Is Within You
20 Some of the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the kingdom of God come?”
Jesus answered, “God’s kingdom is coming, but not in a way that you will be able to see with your eyes. 21 People will not say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ because God’s kingdom is within[a] you.”
WITH THE GROUND YOU TAKE… USE IT.
Our health and strength is a gift. It is then up to us to use it for good and benefit those around us. Pioneer Training is an active community of fitness enthusiasts, that whether of faith or not, we impact those around us for the better.
Whether people or places… leave them better than you find them.
